Arsenic Removal

We offer this system in three types: Fleck, Siata and our own Gemu Multi Valve control arrangements this enables the media to be automatically backwashed by Time or Volume this will depend on the application.

Arsenic is found in waters in many parts of United Kingdom, the arsenic comes from industrial waste and underground rocks in the ground and is picked up as water percolates through them recent updates in water quality standards have reduced the allowable arsenic levels to fall from 50 ug/Ltr to 10 ug/Ltr.

A number of ion Exchange Manufactures have launched products to deal with Arsenic in water the media is typically backwashed and returned to service but after the media has been fully exhausted it has to be replaced with a new media bed

As this media is similar to Amorphous Iron Hydroxide it is formulated to give high Arsenic Removal Capacity but like most Medias requires a certain water quality these being Low Phosphates, a pH over 7 and NO Heavy Metals otherwise the system will not deliver the required results.

If this type of Filtration is required and is specified and installed correctly they work turning unusable water into Clean Clear safe to use water, we do not recommend our clients treat this system as a DIY unit without our assistance, all our engineers are fully trained and know exactly how to set this type of system up and know what to look for.

Information on the Gemu Multi-Valve Control Arrangements will be provided and quoted for upon request.
