Particularly the temporary hardness causes problems and leads to scale formation, mainly as a result of water temperature changes or pressure differences in the pipe and fittings. The lime scale that is released in the form of small crystals causes many problems.

Lime scale is a persistent problem in Boilers, Humidifiers, Dishwashers, Washing Machines, Reverse Osmosis systems, Thermostats and many more items

Lime scale reduces the efficiency of Cleaning chemicals, affects the heating of water and slows the operation of equipment such as Reverse Osmosis systems

ADEPT Pure Water Limited supply numerous types of industrial water softeners in either "Simplex", "Duplex", or "Triplex" with a flow rate range between 5 m³/Hr and 45 m³/Hr (For Lower flows from .3m³/Hr to 5 m³/Hr see Commercial Softeners). We can design and build water systems using any of the following valves "Siata", "Fleck", "Osmonic" or Individual Valved manifolds (Normally Gemu 690 ABS N/C Valves) for that special project.

Simplex. Term used for a single vessel system, we supply industrial softeners on a volumetric regen control only so when the programmed water volume has been used the softener goes into regeneration water can stop flowing to service while the softener is in regeneration if a water bypass is not fitted. Typical application Low usage "Boiler feeds with Large Hotwells".

Industrial Water Softeners

Industrial water softeners are used to remove the hardness from the water. The hardness of water is determined by the amount of Calcium and Magnesium dissolved in water. The more Calcium and magnesium the water contains the harder it is. The total water hardness is divided into temporary hardness and permanent hardness.

Triplex. Term used to describe a three vessel system this will enable you to achieve high service flowrates should high peak flow rates be required. The system sensors monitor the flow rates and makes two of the three units come into service should the demand require it as with a Duplex system when the programmed capacity has been reached the exhausted unit goes into regeneration, the other two continue on in service, each unit has its own individual controls so they can be run in manual or Automatic also the system is normally specially made to suit the feed water conditions and the clients water demands. Typical users "Food Manufactures" 2 or more Boiler feeds with soft water cleans of production areas and work surfaces.

Note that Triplex uses the Fleck 2910 & 3900 Duplex Valves with NXT controllers, please brochure downloads above.

We will design a control system around your particular needs using PLC's and control devices that suit your site standards, all our units can be linked by modem or other means so we can monitor the system operation at our base and advise you accordingly should there be problems.

Technical specifications of our most popular industrial water softeners can be found by downloading our brochures. However, if you would like further information on any of our products, would like a quote or have a particular requirement that you would like to discuss further then please contact our sales team on +44 01933 677181 or contact us online.

Duplex. Term used to describe a twin vessel system as with the simplex system when the programmed volume has been reached the service unit that is exhausted goes immediately into regen (This can be held back to a more convenient time should water demand by poor during production hours) and the unit that was in stand by automatically goes into service this guaranteeing 24/7 soft water production. Typical applications Reverse Osmosis feed water.
